When we think about coffee and flavor it may look different for each of us. In specialty coffee we try to go beyond the "coffee flavor". When sourced, roasted, and brewed in a certain way we can pull out specific flavors. This workshop will explore the mindfulness of our taste, what the flavor wheel is, and the portions of the flavor wheel we may or may not be familiar with.
This workshop will include:
• an explanation of why we taste and what mindful eating is by a Desiderio Abeyta, RDN (Registered Dietitian Nutritionist)
• talking through the Flavor Wheel and why it's important by Sophia
• elements (fruit, nuts, ect.) from the Flavor Wheel to taste paired with coffee
• an explanation of roast profile
• coffee to take home :)
We hope to have an open discussion of taste over coffee. Each person will go home with freshly roasted Coppa Coffee.
